Unique personalized gift idea of the day
Everyone has a ton of old pictures stored away in boxes, pictures that haven't seen the light of day in years! Nowadays, instead of storing our old photographs in a shoe box thrown in the back of a cupboard, we store them on our computers.
Now, if you are anything like us, although our pictures are now far more accessible, we still don't look at them much more than we do the ones stuffed in the back of that cupboard!
We discovered that a photo book can change that forever; we now have a couple of really attractive photo books sitting on the coffee table in our living room. Not only do they look really nice, in fact they are now an integral part of our decor, they are easily accessible and thus are often a talking point when friends and family come to visit.
We all have lots of cherished memories, weddings, births, christenings, birthdays, proms, graduations and even holidays, and we have to tell you, it brings us great joy being able to access pictures of those events so easily.
As well as making a really cool addition to any coffee table, photo books make perfect gifts.
A photo book is the ideal gift for anyone celebrating a special event, as we said, weddings, births, baptisms and birthdays to name but a few; they really are perfect for saving all those special memories.
They make particularly fine gifts for grand parents; can you think of a better present than a photo album filled with pictures of their grand children? Bet you cant!
Photo books are not difficult to create but they can be a little time consuming. Obviously you need to upload a lot of photos, then you need to choose and apply your layout, background and theme.
You can add titles and captions to the pictures and even put text on the spine. As you can imagine, if you take the time and use your best photos and creative text, you can make a wonderful present for your loved ones or even for yourself!
One thing worth looking out for is a stitch bound spine. Many photo books have a glue bound spine which makes it difficult to open the book out flat, plus they frequently come unglued. There are no such problems with a stitch bound spine, they open flat and almost never come apart.
Finally, we think it's worth mentioning that you don't have to spend a fortune to personalize your own photo book; prices range from as little as $10 for a small one up to $100 or so for a large one.
We know a couple of things for sure, you will have great fun creating a photo book as it will bring back lots of good memories, plus, it will bring great joy to whoever you are going to give it to!
Have fun.....
Best regards
Nanci & David Sheath
